Story of Tovah

Tovah was rescued in the fall of 2015 from a backyard butcher in Montgomery, NY where she lived in horrific conditions. Tovah came to Woodstock Farm Sanctuary (WFS) pregnant and, months later, gave birth to Hallie and Raymond. Sean began working at WFS in 2018 and Brendan in 2019. Brendan formed a strong bond with Tovah during his 3 years at WFS and always made sure Tovah got enough hay to eat during feeding time. One of Brendan’s favorite tasks was feeding out hay to the goats and sheep in the morning and at night. Brendan would spend time with Tovah whenever he got a chance. In 2024, when Brendan and Sean were deciding on a name for their band, Brendan suggested Friends of Tovah. Sean loved the name as he is also fond of Tovah.
